Andrea Crawford is a distinguished visiting journalist with the Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy at the University of Notre Dame.

She spent eight years at NYU Alumni Magazine, where she served as executive editor. Her journalism has also appeared in The New York Times, Slate, and Psychology Today. She is also a former senior editor at Art News magazine; she was also a contributing editor at Poets & Writers.

Crawford, who earned a certificate in urban agriculture and food justice at Farm School NYC, is the author of the forthcoming, “How to Go Home: A Memoir of Growing Food, Community, and American Dreams.”

She is a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, where she also earned a master's degree in English literature.

In Fall 2020, she will teach “Food and Environmental Journalism.”
